Welcome to the Faculty of Technology. Situated in the centre of the bustling city of Southampton|, adjacent to green parkland and the full range of urban entertainments, the Faculty is dedicated to providing our students with the best range of practical scholarship available anywhere.
We pride ourselves on being a friendly environment, where our academic stars work closely with the students to develop their skills and learning.
Whether your interests lie in music, film and multimedia, fashion design, yacht design, construction, engineering, computing and communications, environmental management, anywhere in the wide sweep of technology's embrace and at any level from undergraduate through to Masters and doctoral work, we have an appropriate course to meet your needs.
Arranged in five subject groups, Communications Engineering, Computing, Design, Engineering and Construction, and Maritime and Coastal Studies, the Faculty's courses are current and meet the needs of professional bodies.
We use input from industry and commerce to guide new developments, to ensure the relevance of our work to the broader world. Supported by the University's commitment to advanced scholarship, we aspire to give our students the best educational experience and to equip them to succeed in the world of work.

The Faculty prides itself on the essentially practical nature of the learning our students obtain, relevant to the needs of employment and professional practice but allowing the fulfilment of academic ambitions and dreams of personal growth. The sheer talent displayed in the design show and fashion show |each year illustrates best of all the achievements of our students and staff.
