Human Resources Service
The Human Resources Service is responsible for leading the development and maintenance of an employment environment that supports the contribution of all University employees to achieve high performance within a dynamic and outward-facing learning community.
The University operates a devolved staff management model. The Human Resources Service supports this model through the provision of a broad range of operational services including staff recruitment services, employment policy, employee services, training and development, equal opportunities and diversity, and industrial relations.
The aims and objectives of the Human Resources Service are set out in the University's Human Resource Strategy (HRS) adopted in October 2004. The HRS sets out 12 objectives to support the development priorities set out in the University's Strategic Plan 2004-2008, and to further strengthen the existing character, values and aspirations of the University. The full HRS and a short introductory version is available on the personnel Service intranet site.
Areas covered by the Service
