Applicant Open Days

 

Between February and April 2008 we will offer a range of events for applicants starting in September 2008.

 

If you have applied to the university, you will be posted an invite to a course event. You will then be able to find out more about your chosen course as well as funding, accommodation and life at university.

'...So, what happens during the Applicant Open Days?'

 

You will be given opportunities to speak to staff and students who will be happy to answer any questions you may have about your chosen course. Events during the Open Day may take the form of taster sessions and/or practical workshops and other course activities.

 

'What if I have not applied to Southampton Solent University?'

 

You may still attend an event even if you've not yet decided which course, or where to study. The events are designed to help you with your decision. If you would like to make an application, please consult the UCAS website (www.ucas.com|). 'If I've applied through UCAS Route B, will I still be able to attend these Open Days?'

 

Yes, there will be specific Art and Design events throughout the period to enable you to take advantage of the Route B application deadline. This will give you a little more time to build your portfolio and attend interviews and portfolio viewings, etc. Some interviews and portfolio appointments may also take place during Open Days, which will allow you to join in with the applicant activities while on campus.
