Antiques Roadshow expert comes to Southampton Solent University
Dr Geoffrey Godden from BBC's The Antiques Roadshow will be leading a one-day course 'Identifying Regency Porcelains' on Wednesday, 7 March at Southampton Solent University.
The study day, which is part of the University's Art, Design and Business short course programme, starts at 10am, with three lecture sessions throughout the day and finishes at around 4pm with tea. Lunch, tea and coffee are included.
Dr Geoffrey Godden is a world authority on European porcelains, and Britain's leading ceramic historian. An internationally renowned lecturer and consultant, he has been a BBC Antiques Roadshow porcelain expert for many years. In this one-day course he will be tackling some of the problems inherent in the identification of Regency period porcelains.
Southampton Solent University has recently launched a new Art, Culture and Society degree programme that provides a valuable addition to art and antiques education in Britain.
The new degrees take into account the many changes that have taken place in the art and antiques world in recent years, and provide a solid grounding for a successful career in this professional area.
The fee is £60 for the day; £50 for SOFAA, NAVA and RICS members; £35 for concessions; and £25 without lunch.
