The Learning and Information Service (LIS)
The Learning and Information Service provides integrated services and support to students and staff through teams working in the following areas:
Student Services - careers and jobshop; Students 1st Information Centre; student advice service providing information, advice and guidance on funding and welfare issues and to international students; student counselling service; disability support and study assistance; chaplaincy.
Learning Services – Library and information services; the Learning Technology Unit (developing and supporting learning technologies including myCourse, the university's VLE); web development centre; academic skills development and support.
Information Communications Technology - supports the IT and communications infrastructure of the University and delivers front-line open access facilities for students through the university's learning resource centres.
