Exchange Opportunities  

Study periods abroad not only allow you to obtain a different cultural experience but add an international dimension to your curriculum vitae. Support and induction programmes are available for all students going out on exchange and for students coming to study here with us.

Therefore, many students spend a semester or a year studying at one of our partner institutions in other European countries, thanks to our participation in the Erasmus Programme which is supported by the European Union. We also have exchange opportunities outside the Erasmus Programme in North America.

On our Fine Arts, Photography, Law, Maritime, International Business and many of our Media courses we offer the opportunity to spend either a year or a semester at one of our wide variety of partner institutions.

As well as students going to our partner institutions, students also come to Southampton on an exchange basis. Studying and living in England is an excellent opportunity and experience for them and don't forget, they will bring their cultural experiences with them for us to learn from. This enhances the richness and diversity of the experience of studying at Southampton for all our students.
