The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Fundamentals  (Part Time)

Length:  30 weeks

Course overview

This first level ACCA course offers you the opportunity to further your career and gain professional Accountancy qualifications while studying on a part-time basis. You will receive 60 hourse of tuition, including revision, and be taught by experienced professionals. The University has over 25 years of experience of delivering these courses.

The University also offers the ACCA Professional course|.

Course content

All courses are completely University run and prepare students for the Association's examinations to be held in June each year.  Note: Examinations are also held in December and a student may sit a maximum of four papers in one examination session. Please check the ACCA website| to ensure examinations are not on the same day. You will only be able to sit one examination on each day.

Assessment

Externally by examination. You must ensure you have contacted ACCA and completed the necessary forms (see their website for full information http://www.acca.co.uk/students/study_exams/exams/important_dates/professional|| .)

Please note that during May a revision course will be offered at no extra charge to the student or employer.

Book keepingThe ACCA is the second largest accountancy body in the UK. Worldwide it has approximately 300,000 members and students in 160 countries. It is a wide-ranging qualification enabling the student to work in all areas of the profession. A member of the association can use the letters ACCA or FCCA after their name depending on the grade of the membership.

Fees

Fees for the 2008-2009 academic year are £340 per paper.

Discounts are 10% for students enrolling for three or more papers in one academic year,

10% for students who studied ACCA with us in previous years, (with a cap of 15% on total discounts that can be claimed).
