Academic Standards |

Academic Standards and Quality Service (ASQS) |- Responsible for policies and regulations relating to student admissions, academic quality and standards. The service also manages the graduation ceremonies, and deals with student appeals and cases of suspected student academic misconduct. The service is also responsible for the management and development of the student record system.

Campus Service

Estates and Facilities |- Primarily an enabling service, providing and maintaining buildings in which students can study and live and staff can work, as well as providing a wide range of support functions that underpin and support academic activities. The Service includes:

 Finance |

Finance| - Provides all the core finance functions, including procurement, as well as liaison with the Funding Councils and other regulatory bodies, student number planning, provision of management information, ensuring compliance with data protection and Freedom of Information requirements, management of student/teaching exchange programmes and international links.

 Personnel

Human Resource Service  |- Responsible for leading the development and maintenance of an employment environment that supports the contribution of all University employees to achieve high performance within a dynamic and outward-facing learning community. 

 Learning and Information Service |

Learning and Information Service (LIS) |- Responsible for underpinning and supporting the student learning experience and to provide a varied set of services and resources to the University community, these include:

Marketing and Communications Service| - Responsible for marketing, promotion and advertising; home, EU and overseas student recruitment, education liaison, Widening Participation and Lifelong Learning; press,events and media handling; community, public and alumni relations; publications, the corporate Internet site; and market research in collaboration with RIU.

 RIU

The Research and Information Unit (RIU) - Responsible for providing a range of authoritative information to guide the development of University policy and practice. This may include information about student recruitment and attainment; the learning experiences of students; the impact of University policies, for example tuition fees and bursaries; or information to inform strategic planning.

 Sport and Recreation

Sport Solent| - Responsible for the delivery of competitive and recreational sport, the support of elite athletes, an intensive programme of coach education (both wetside and dryside), the community coaching programme and the management and operation of facilities. These activities are designed to underpin and enhance the student experience, as well as benefitting staff, alumni and the local community.   

 Students Union | Solent Students' Union| - Forms an integral part of student representation within the University. Entertainment is provided by the Union, with balls, discos and various social meetings taking place throughout the year.
