Dr Lawrence Lee

Dr Lawrence Lee joined the Board in August 2009.  He sits on the Remuneration and Resources committees. 

Lawrence graduated from the London Hospital Dental School in 1982 and subsequently worked for Ealing Health Authority as a Community Dental Officer.  He joined City and Hackney Health Authority in 1984 as a salaried Dental Practitioner.  In 1986, he transferred to the private sector and joined Shaftesbury Dental Care (West End), where he is still a full-time dentist.  He became a partner in the practice in 1988.

Lawrence is a former President of the London China Town Lions Club, of which he has been a member for 22 years.  The Club is an active fund raiser through various events, such as the Dragon Boat Fun Day and the Annual Charity Ball.  He is also Chairman and co-founder of the Hong Kong Executive Club, which through its Golf Day event raised money to help rebuild a school in China.  For the past 18 years, Lawrence has been an advisor to the London Chinatown Chinese Association and serves on the organising committee of its Chinese New Year Festival.

A passionate wine lover, he founded the London Wine Club in 1990, and was also a part-time sales director and partner of Gees Wine (importer and distributor) from 1989 to 1992.

Lawrence is a very keen golfer and plays every weekend.
