Jonathan Prest
Independent Governor

Jonathan joined the Board in July 2008 and sits on the Audit and Governance Committee.

He is currently Principal of Barton Peverill Sixth Form College in Eastleigh, which provides the sixth form for approximately 2,400 young people living between Romsey, Winchester, Fareham and Southampton. He is Chair of the Hampshire Sixth Form College Partnership.

Jonathan studied English and Theology at the University of Bristol, took a Postgraduate Certificate in Education at the University of Oxford and has taught in Hampshire since 1987.

He is passionate about ensuring that the very best teaching and learning opportunities are available in local schools and colleges and is committed to raising the ambitions and opportunities for young people to have a University education.

Jonathan is married with three boys and enjoys running, walking and many other sports.
