Andrew Heathcock, Independent Governor and
Vice-Chairman of the Board
Andrew Heathcock joined the Board as an Independent Governor in August 2000, and became Vice-Chairman in August 2007. Andrew chairs the Resources Committee and sits on the Nominations Committee.
Previous to joining the Resources Committee in June 2007, Andrew was a member of the Audit and Governance Committee (formerly the Audit Committee, which he joined in April 2001). He was a member of the Information Resources Sub-Committee between November 2000 and November 2004, when the Sub-Committee was stood down by the Board, and a member of the Human Resources Sub-Committee between May 2005 and July 2006, when that Sub-Committee was also stood down.
A law graduate of Bristol University, Andrew qualified as a solicitor in 1977 and worked in the City of London until he came to Southampton in 1981. He has specialised in commercial work throughout his career and has been a Partner in Paris Smith LLP since 1990 and is now the Managing Partner.
